hiro S with Tomei Powered USA ~ the 2JZ Journey ~: PROFILE

Hiro S. has been a car enthusiast ever since he can remember. When he was a little kid, he played with mini model cars, soon moved onto radio controlled cars, and finally to the big real cars. Since then, he has kept pursuing speed behind the steering wheel and never looked back. Along with Taka and Yoshie (Team DriftPro members), Hiro has had over 10 years of SCCA Solo II (Autocross) competition experience including numerous Pro-Solo wins in National levels. When Drift Association began the very first drift event in the U.S. called the 'Drift Day' in 2001, Hiro has been hooked on this new motorsports from Japan called drifting. He has been teaching, judging local competitions, and honing his own drifting skills for the past several years.

Hiro has competed in all of the Formula D championships ever since it began in 2004. His best finishes include two podium finishes in Atlanta and New Jersey. He has mainly competed in Toyota family of cars including AE86 Corolla, JZX90 Chaser, Lexus IS350, and the current MX83 Cressida.
